Hi Kirk, I live in Japan and caught this on a family friend's post. Its great to see you working towards this goal. Its amazing how much interest there is here in Japan as well about Jamaica and Jamaican culture. Have you tried reaching out to any Jamaican's living in Japan? Do you have a Facebook fan page for your site and "Operation Visit Japan?" Would be happy to help.

Just a word of caution - the Japan Rail Pass only lets you take JR lines and the slower Shinkansens which may add additional time to your trip depending on what you want to see/visit. There are a multitude of other lines, ie. Tokyo Metro, Toei, and other privately owned lines that are not covered by the railpass. However, to get from city to city via rail in Japan, the railpass is a great option. Just wanted to let you know for your budgeting purposes that you might want to factor extra in for local travel.

You will get it, you can count of it :3, visit Japan is one of my dreams too but I think I have the easy road with my University giving scholarships away for the Tottori University and the only things I must do is pay my plane ticket and random expenses.

Well howdy. Looks like your getting there! Just a shame you can't get there any earlier than next year.

Hey Kirk,

If you're at 32% after 4 months, I'm confident that you will surpass your mark and have some extra cash to take with you.

Keep up the awesome work! [jamaica]
