Google and X Prize Foundation Sponsor Lunar Race

Screw NASA, ESA, ROSCOMOS, JAXA and any other international government funded space exploration agency. Google (yes the one and only search giant) and the X Prize Foundation is giving away 30 million dollars worth of prizes to successful, privately funded companies who manage to get a robotic rover on the Moon that will complete several mission objectives, including roaming the lunar surface for at least 500 meters and sending video, images and data back to the Earth.

Hmm I wonder if I could do all those things and land the millions. No it will take at least 10 times that in research alone before anything leaves orbit.
