Excellent review by the way. I stumbled onto Guardian a few months ago and the most striking thing about it for me was that it is one of the very few anime I've seen with a story line centered around a beautiful, intelligent, strong and highly skilled female character. The story is believable and you see the main characters struggle with finding themselves (a young woman redefining herself and a young boy learning to stand on his own two feet). A refreshing story! Long time no "see"! Excellent review by the way.
