Obama City Japan riding on the Barack Obama Victory

Barack Obama has been elected to be the best U.S. president, and the citizens of Obama a small city in the Fukui Prefecture of Japan, are celebrating their namesake’s victory. In a city with a population of less than 35,000 over 1,500 persons signed up for an “Obama for Obama” supporters group complete with performers and an “I love Obama” illustration. Obama means “little beach” in Japanese.

Barack Obama will take his place as the President of the United States of America on January 2009, not only Americans, but all the world looks on to see how President Obama will lead the richest most powerful nation in the world.

    honestly i’m not as enthusiastic as he’s not our president and so what he does won’t directly affect us…but i’m still happy he won the presidential election and not McKain^^….09…we need to send him a couple buckets of black paint…time to repaint the white house..its only fitting lol…

    one year later… not that great. kind of ehh. not a bad president so far… but not that great.

    i think too many people thought that if they just voted for the guy who bolstered the idea of change, that everything would change. with people like Shinigami00 light-heartedly acting as the poster child for perpetuation and civil stagnancy, it’s really no wonder everything is the same and people still think the white house has something to do with white people.
