Tokyo VR Project

Every time I here or see anything related to Virtual Reality (VR) the stupid VR Troopers theme song plays in my head (we are, we are VR Troopers), oh boy, the things we used to watch as kids ^_^. Anyway there is an ongoing Tokyo VR project. The project aims to capture a panoramic view of scenes from Tokyo that can be accessed online. I don’t understand much of the text on the site but there is little to read and lots to see so check it out. There are scenes from all over at different times of day, the countryside and even underground. The shots are scrollable 360 degrees but you must have quicktime installed on your PC to view and scroll them properly. Here is a sample of what can be seen on the site:
