Usain Bolt is on top of the World!

It’s pandemonium here at home as my mom and sister who are both Usain Bolt fans gang up on me because I was the only one who picked Asafa Powell for a victory. He disappointed again but there was no stopping Usain Bolt. He blew away the field, lowered his record and won Jamaica’s first Olympic Gold so far at the Beijing Olympic Games.

I can’t explain the feeling but I’m proud to be born and live in the same country as the fastest man in the world. Ironically the party has just begun because Usain is aiming for 3 gold medals and there are many more Jamaica athletes both men and women who are set to shine in Beijing. Stay Tuned!

I was rooting for Asafa too… really wanted to see that boy finally step up and deliver a nice serving of in-yo-face/shut-yo-mouth to all his critics and naysayers… *sigh* ah well, I guess that’s not yet to be. Still have faith in him though. He did it before Bolt. He can do it again.

Not to take anything from Bolt’s glory, or the Caribbean’s happy hour. Bolt really deserve that gold – the boy make my chest swell up with pride because me and him born in the same country and shared the same space several times *grins/swoons*… Ah yes, I tell you, I could go on and on bout how happy I am and how elated the whole country is. Congrats to Tyrone too. Bet you T&T going get national holiday. Too bad Jamaica don’t have that party culture.

Nuff said (this is a whole post, lol!). *Free ad coming up* See more here: http://ruthibelle.blogspot….

He could’ve ran a faster time but he’s waiting on a next time so whenever he runs he’ll b setting a record! First him slow down at the 80m mark, next is the 85m, then the 90m and so on and so forth!
