Most of the factor for the World Champion 2010 are saying Spain will win the title. But usually it isn't the big favourite that will win the tournament, so I think Brasil will make the race.

I love America's draw. What a match it will be against England. If the US plays well, I think they can definitely move to the second round. Can't wait.

Being in Africa, and the world cup to be in Africa for the first time. I support all African teams.
I bet for Ghana and Ivory Coast, However the better teams to my opinions are Brazil, Spain and Germany.
I do believe we will see a lot of surprises, especially from the least known countries. This time African teams will perform better than before. My worry from African teams, is the host nation, South Africa!

I am just buzzin with excitement about the 2010WC. if you wanna drop in I have room for ya, lol. Am gonna get into a match by the hook or the crook.

Seriously though some of the groups may present a few surprises, especially for the big guns. My faves are Brazil, England, Spain, Argentina perpetually. But this time I am also hoping that CIV, Ghana or Nigeria also do well. I can't count on SA at all, even with a home advantage.

The group of death should present a lot of fun for football lovers (altho I will be in a fit of nerves for Brz's sake); and remember that strange things happen when you employ certain tactics like play for a draw or concede no goals with a certain 'strong' team then ensure you beat the other 'weak' team and hope one or other of the two big guns beats the same one you drew with....make the points and goal difference work for you. Not that that's a first plan but it can be at least a back up.

I am here listening to the commentators on local TV and how they are belittling some of the sides coming to SA; they talk about Paraguay, Honduras, Chile, DPRK etc and while these teams are not world renown football giants, their preparation and campaign so far have been pretty good. No one ever places a bet on the USA considering them newcomers (despite the fact that the USA participated in the 1st WC in 1930 and also hosted in 1994) but the USA (as we Jamaicans know) are playing a good game. And at least in this sport they are not arrogant so I am supporting them for that, for being underdogs and for representing my region CONCACAF.

So the WC fever is on in earnest...let's go, it's time, ke nako!

I will follow closely, too :) Especially cuz my home country Slovenia qualified :) I think this will be a World cup full of surprises and I really wouldn't be shocked, if an African team wins the World Cup, why not? [smile] But if I think reasonably, my no1 favourites are:

1 Spain 2 England 3 Brazil 4 Italy 5 Germany

Although I can't forget France, who always finds its way very far and same goes for Argentina. It's funny, but I feel that Asian teams won't stand a big chance, still think European teams are the strongest, followed by Africans and then South Americans...

All that said, my wish is that Slovenia becomes 2nd in our group behind England, that would be a big big success for our tiny little country, hehe. The further we come, the better. Anything's possible [love]
